This session shares how a leading Formula 1 team accelerated simulation and AI by adopting Rescale’s cloud HPC platform. In a short onboarding window, the team scaled Star CCM+ workflows (pre/solve/post) across regions to tens of thousands of CPUs. Targeted benchmarking, network/solver tuning, and a move to newer Azure HB-series generations (with partner-enabled clock/turbo optimizations) delivered meaningful gains in throughput and efficiency.
We’ll also cover governance for FIA compliance, including multi-subscription operations and audit-ready admin views along with outlining the team’s AI program: training physics-based surrogate models (NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo, MeshGraphNets, DoMINO) on modern GPUs and serving inference on-platform to speed design iteration. We close with lessons on performance, cost control, and change management, and how this playbook is extending to NASCAR and IndyCar.
