SUMMARY:HPC-AI Society September Lunch & Learn
DESCRIPTION:« All Events\n \nThis event has passed. \n\n	HPC-AI Society September Lunch & Learn\n September 25\n @\n11:30 am\n –\n1:00 pm\nCDT \nThe HPC-AI Society Lunch and Learn – Online Only\nFrom Wind Tunnel to GPU: An F1 Journey on Rescale Compute & AI\n\nDinal Perera – Strategic Solutions Lead\, Data & AI\, Rescale\n\n11:30am- Noon CDT – Networking\nNoon – 1:00pm CDT – ONLINE ONLY Presentation\n\nMembers: To select your member ticket\, please log in and revisit this page. \nAbout the Event\nThis session shares how a leading Formula 1 team accelerated simulation and AI by adopting Rescale’s cloud HPC platform. In a short onboarding window\, the team scaled Star CCM+ workflows (pre/solve/post) across regions to tens of thousands of CPUs. Targeted benchmarking\, network/solver tuning\, and a move to newer Azure HB-series generations (with partner-enabled clock/turbo optimizations) delivered meaningful gains in throughput and efficiency.  \nWe’ll also cover governance for FIA compliance\, including multi-subscription operations and audit-ready admin views along with outlining the team’s AI program: training physics-based surrogate models (NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo\, MeshGraphNets\, DoMINO) on modern GPUs and serving inference on-platform to speed design iteration. We close with lessons on performance\, cost control\, and change management\, and how this playbook is extending to NASCAR and IndyCar. \nTo join the event\, please click on the following link on Sept. 25 at 12:00pm CDT: \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/82861397864?pwd=uM9i7mtBN6oQo0VwMXzFX7GfMzlEiy.1 \nMeeting ID: 828 6139 7864Passcode: 851614 \nDownload presentations and/or watch videos\n \n \n Download the Slides\n \n \n \n Download the Presentation\n \n \n \n Watch the Video\n \nYou must be a member to view event materials. DESCRIPTION:« All Events\n \n\n	HPC-AI Society July Lunch and Learn – Live from TPC\n July 31\n @\n1:00 pm\n –\n2:30 pm\nCDT \nThe HPC-AI Society Lunch and Learn Event — Live from TPC!\nCharlie Catlett – Executive Director –\nTPC\n\nHear from TPC Executive Director Charlie Catlett about TPC’s work in advancing AI for science and engineering\, and discuss how the two non-profit\, vendor neutral organizations\, TPC and The HPC-AI Society\, are holistically collaborating to advance common goals through their respective communities. \nAddison Snell – CEO – Intersect360 Research\n\nThe HPC-AI Leadership Organization (HALO) is a global user-based industry association of recognized leaders in the use of High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Addison Snell\, CEO of Intersect360 Research\, will discuss how HALO collaborates with both the HPC-AI Society as well as the Trillion Parameter Consortium.Hear how HALO members can influence the HPC and AI industry by guiding and participating in the Intersect360 Research agenda\, with no-cost benefits including access to insights\, studies\, and exclusive events and content. \n\n1:00pm- 2:30pm CDT \n\nMembers: To select your member ticket\, please log in and revisit this page. \nAbout the Event\nThe Trillion Parameter Consortium (TPC) is a global\, community-driven\, open initiative that brings together researchers\, technical practitioners\, educators\, trainees\, and other stakeholders working across the fields of AI and HPC. There are currently 82 active member organizations within TPC\, and all organizations are encouraged to apply for membership. \nEstablished in 2023\, the TPC community has grown to more than 1\,400 participants from over 100 organizations around the world. Participants include computer scientists\, mathematicians\, and computational scientists; domain experts from astronomy\, physics\, chemistry\, biology\, environment\, materials\, and climate science; and experts in large-scale computing systems\, computational frameworks\, data management\, ethical considerations\, and responsible AI practices. \nTPC aims to advance and accelerate the responsible\, open\, and safe development of large-scale AI capabilities for scientific and engineering applications. Its community represents the intersection of AI and HPC\, encompassing not only the science of AI and the use of AI for scientific discovery\, but also the challenges of harnessing the necessary extreme scale systems spanning data and computation. \nAs the community continues to grow\, participants from around the world are empowered to contribute knowledge\, propose projects\, and work together in pursuit of scientific breakthroughs\, inspiring future leaders and advancing discovery in ways that would be difficult or impossible through isolated efforts. \nDownload presentations and/or watch videos\n \n \n Download the Slides\n \n \n \n Download the Presentation\n \n \n \n Watch the Video\n \nYou must be a member to view event materials.
